Target Information
Target Name Talin
Gene Abbr. TLN1
Gene ID 7094
Full Name talin 1
Alias ILWEQ, TLN, talin-1
Introduction Focal adhesions connect the cytoskeleton with the extracellular matrix. Talin is a large, multidomain focal adhesion protein that interacts with the intracellular domains of integrins and other focal adhesion proteins. Talin is involved in the formation of focal adhesions and in linking focal adhesions to the actin cytoskeleton. The interaction between talin and integrins increases the affinity between integrin and both insoluble and soluble ECM proteins.
Product Details
Host Rabbit
Clonality Monoclonal
Clone No. D2P2M
Immunogen Synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ser425 of human talin protein.
Source/Purification Antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ser425 of human talin protein.
Usage
Application WB, IP
Dilutions Western Blot (1:1000); Immunoprecipitation (1:50)
MW(KDa) 270
Reactivity Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey
Sensitivity Endogenous
Specificity It recognizes endogenous levels of talin protein only when phosphorylated at Ser425. Based on sequence homology, this antibody is expected to recognize both talin-1 and talin-2 proteins phosphorylated at Ser425.
