Target Information
Target Name Atg13
Gene Abbr. ATG13
Gene ID 9776
Full Name autophagy related 13
Alias KIAA0652, PARATARG8
Introduction Autophagy is a catabolic process for the autophagosomic-lysosomal degradation of bulk cytoplasmic contents. Autophagy is generally activated by conditions of nutrient deprivation but has also been associated with a number of physiological processes including development, differentiation, neurodegeneration, infection, and cancer. The molecular machinery of autophagy was largely discovered in yeast and referred to as autophagy-related (Atg) genes. Atg13 is an autophagy factor and a target of the TOR kinase signaling pathway. It is essential for autophagosome formation and mitophagy.
Product Details
Host Rabbit
Clonality Polyclonal
Clone No. N/A
Isotype IgG
Immunogen Anti-ATG13 [p Ser318] antibody was prepared by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the region near Ser318 of ATG13.
Usage
Application WB, ELISA, FC
Dilutions Western Blot (1:2000); ELISA (1:25000-1:175000); Flow Cytometry (1:10-1:1000)
MW(KDa) 72
Reactivity Human, Mouse
Validation Knockdown Validated.
Specificity This antibody is directed against the phosphorylated form of human ATG13 protein at the pS318 residue. It was cross adsorbed against the non-phosphorylated form of the immunizing peptide. Reactivity occurs against human ATG13 pS318 protein and the antibody is specific for the phosphorylated form of the protein. Reactivity with non-phosphorylated human ATG13 is minimal by ELISA and Western Blot.
