Target Information
Target Name CCR5
Gene Abbr. CCR5
Gene ID 1234
Full Name C-C motif chemokine receptor 5 (gene/pseudogene)
Alias CC-CKR-5, CCCKR5, CCR-5, CD195, CKR-5
Introduction CCR5 is a G protein-linked seven transmembrane domain chemokine receptor. CCR5 serves as a receptor for several chemokines including MIP-1 alpha, MIP-1 beta, MCP-2, and RANTES. It also functions as a coreceptor for Macrophage Tropic HIV-1 infection.
Product Details
Host Mouse
Clonality Monoclonal
Clone No. 45502
Isotype IgG2B
Immunogen NS0 mouse myeloma cell line transfected with human CCR5. Met1-Leu352. Accession # P51681.
Usage
Application FC
Dilutions Flow Cytometry (2.5 μg/10^6 cells)
Reactivity Human
Specificity Specifically stains human CCR5 transfectants but not the parental cell line as detected by flow cytometry. It has also been shown to react with a CCR5/CCR2 chimera (5222) containing the amino-terminal domain of CCR5. However, this antibody does not react with CCR5 present on unfixed stimulated human PBMCs by flow cytometry.
