Upregulation of SAC51 reverses the dwarf phenotype caused by a loss-of-function mutation in ACL5 (Arabidopsis thaliana ACAULIS 5) gene, suggesting that activation of SAC51 may lead to the expression of a subset of genes required for stem elongation.
