Together with MYB29/HAG3 and MYB76/HAG2, promotes aliphatic glucosinolate biosynthesis but represses indolic glucosinolate biosynthesis. Prevents insect performance (e.g. lepidopteran insect Mamestra brassicae and Spodoptera exigua) by promoting glucosinolates.
