Datasheet:

Description

Agglutinin/lectin (STA/STL) is a glycoprotein rich in hydroxyproline. This lectin contains 50% carbohydrates, mainly arabinose; It consists of two subunits. STA/STL binding oligomers of N-acetylglucosamine and some bacterial cell wall oligosaccharides containing n-acetylglucosamine and n-acetylaminoacetic acid. N-acetyllactamine is a relatively weak coagulant inhibitor induced by this lectin. However, it is not blood specific. Solanum lectin has been shown to bind to colon cancer cells 2.5 times more than normal tissue.
