Description

The RHD3(root hair defect 3) protein may be a gtp binding protein involved in cell wall expansion. Requires proper root and hair cell expansion. Vacuole enlargement may be inhibited during the proliferation of root hair cells. It plays a role in cell wall biosynthesis and actin tissue. Appears to be independent of the auxin and ethylene pathways. May regulate membrane traffic from the Golgi to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). Restricted to the Golgi apparatus and endoplasmic reticulum. Alias :Fragile Fiber 4, Portein SEY1 Homolog 1.
