T-DNA region of pBI101 was replaced with a new T-DNA sequence that enables dexamethasone-inducible gene expression of a gene of interest. Construction of pTA7001 is described in Aoyama, T. and Chua, N.-H. (1997) A glucocorticoid-mediated transcriptional induction system in transgenic plants. Plant J. 11, 605–612. pTA7001 was further modified to contain a GATEWAY destination cassette inserted between Xho1 and Spe1 sites.
