Hydrolyzes glycerol-phospholipids at the terminal phosphodiesteric bond to generate phosphatidic acids (PA). Plays an important role in various cellular processes, including phytohormone action, vesicular trafficking, secretion, cytoskeletal arrangement, meiosis, tumor promotion, pathogenesis, membrane deterioration and senescence.
