UniProt Comments
Plant non-specific lipid-transfer proteins transfer phospholipids as well as galactolipids across membranes. May play a role in wax or cutin deposition in the cell walls of expanding epidermal cells and certain secretory tissues. Permeabilizes the membrane of fungal spores, inhibits germination of the spores of the fungus F.solani at a concentration of 40 µg/ml. Inhibits the growth of F.solani with an IC50 of 6.5 µg/ml, weakly inhibits the growth of the fungus A.alternata. Binds oleoyl-CoA.
