Description

Unlike the lectins of European lilies and lotus, which tend to be (alpha-1,2) linked focusing residues, the lectins of golden lilies tend to bind to structures associated with (alpha-1,6) n-acetylglucosamine or (alpha-1,3) n-acetyllactose aminoamine. AAL also reversibly binds to lesions attached to nucleic acids.
