Description

Hsp101/ClpB is a member of the HSP100 protein family. These proteins help dissociate protein aggregates that form during heat stress, allowing them to be refolded by other companion proteins. In addition to being expressed during heat stress, members of the HSP100 protein family are also expressed during seed development. Hsp101 protein is localized in both the nucleus and cytoplasm (1,2).
