Description

Plant thioneins belong to the plant thionein family and are small sized polycysteine peptides involved in plant defense against pathogens. The bacteriostatic activity and cytotoxicity of thioprotein make transgenic plants containing thioprotein gene have the effect of enhancing the resistance of pathogenic bacteria in agriculture.
