Description

CERK1(chitin elicitor receptor kinase 1) is a Lysin motif (LysM) receptor kinase that acts as a cell surface receptor in chitin elicitor (chitosaccharide) signaling, leading to innate immunity to biological and abiotic stresses, such as tolerance to salinity, heavy metal stress, and gray mold infection. Identification of microbially derived ligands containing N-acetylglucosamine (NAG). Involved in fighting pathogenic fungi.
