Description

ATG5 (Autophagy protein 5) is a protein required for autophagy. Involved in regulating the negative feedback loop of the NPR1-dependent salicylic acid (SA) signaling pathway, limiting aging and immune-related programmed cell death (PCD) in plants, and complete proteolysis of chloroplast matrix proteins during damaged peroxisome degradation in aging leaves. Alias: Protein autophagy 5,AtAPG5.
