Description

ACC synthetase 8 belongs to a class of enzymes that catalyze the conversion of S-adenosine-L-methionine (SAM) to 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate (ACC), a direct precursor of ethylene. ACS8 is auxin induced. Aliases: 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate synthase 8, ACC synthase 8, S-adenosine-L-methionine methyl-adenosine thiolyase 8.
